Career advancement is a common goal for every professional. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we reach a point where the signs indicate that it might be time to consider moving on. However, we don’t realize these signs right away and it takes years to realize that we have wasted more time with our employer than we we should have.

In this article, we’ll explore some of the hidden signs to that you might experience from early on to help you make a decision to seek another challenge.

Your are the most knowledgable at your job

In every team, there is the expert and the most knowledgable person. This person usually act as a reference for the others to go back to looking for experties. Usually this individuals is the most senior person in the team with lots of knowledge and expertise.

As a junior member, its great to have this person around, but for reference only. You should treat this person as a learning resource. Ask for mentorship, keep a close eye on their duties and what the offer and always try to learn from them.
