This is 100% rubbish tbh. We've built startups with 100% remote employees, never saw each other in person, yet achieved great success. A lazy employee will be found, if they can't be found then there is a management problem in the company.

Remote job isn't about being lazy by signing off early, its about managing your time more efficiently. With the right team mentality, employees even work outside their 9-5 time or even weekends (Voluntarily ofc).
